The truth is, running for public office is hard and anyone, no matter their party, who does it has my respect as do those who get elected. We all have our reasons to run. My reasons are pictured above. My Home...Where I was raised; where my memories were made; where my parents helped me try to understand life. My Family...Where my siblings still reside; where I raised my family and they will raise theirs. My Friends...Where the people who were there for me, helped me, had fun with me, and would still do all of these things for and with me today reside. Kent County is my home, my family's home and the home of many of my friends.
These are powerful reasons. Their Future, Your Future, Our Future is Important to Me.
I was taught that listening is our greatest virtue. Listening doesn't mean you agree with someone or that you have no opinion. Listening allows us to try to find common ground and understand why people have the opinions and feelings they have. I will Listen. Conversations solve issues.
